Carl Johnston

Carl Edward Johnston age 81 of Arkadelphia died Tuesday June 23, 2009 in Little Rock. He was born October 18, 1927 in Arkadelphia, AR. the son of William and Jessie Hughes Johnston. He was a farmer and rancher at the Caddo River Ranch for 42 years, a WWII and Korean War Veteran, and a dedicated husband and father. He was a member and Deacon of the First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years Anna Braden Johnston; one son, Ed Johnston and wife Bonnie of Arkadelphia; three daughters, Patty Eismann of Leavenworth KS; Linda Wright and husband John David of Arkadelphia; Carla Massey of Hope, AR; one brother Earl Johnston of Arkadelphia; sixteen grandchildren including one dedicated granddaughter Deanna Johnston, several great-grand children, nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2 P.M. Friday June 26, 2009 in the First Assembly of God Church, with Bro. Nathan Rogers and Bro. Temon Jenkins officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
