Carlisle "Jim" Howton, 83, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born April 14, 1925, at Rison, Arkansas, to Elijah Winfield and Mildred Williams Howton, and he died October 24, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Fran Howton; three daughters, Kathy Johnson of Harrison, Jeannice Whitmere of Vancouver, Washington and Jammie Howton of Beebe; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at Harrison Chapel Church, with service following at 3:00 p.m. Interment is in Beebe Cemetery.
