Carol D. Kagel, age 60, of Royal, went to be with her Saviour on Monday, January 24, 2022.
She was born to Otis and Kathleen Lindley on December 24, 1961 in Clarendon, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her father, Otis Lindley.
Carol attended school in Clarendon where she received her high school diploma while also working in the office of the local family doctor. Following high school, she attended nursing school at Garland County Community College in Hot Springs while simultaneously working for various medical professionals in the community. Carol would go on to work as a school nurse for Lake Hamilton School District where she would eventually retire after 30 years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, William Kagel; her two daughters, Kayla Riley (husband Landon Riley) and Kati Young (husband Randy Young,); her mother, Kathleen Lindley; and her four brothers, Wayne Lindley (wife Karen Lindley,) Eddie Lindley (wife Caron Lindley,) Alvin Lindley (wife Shirley Lindley,) and Marvin Lindley (wife Bobbie Lindley.) She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her four beautiful grandchildren, whom she loved with all of her heart.
Services will be held at Hot Springs Baptist Church on Friday, Jan 28, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with Bro. Mike Smith officiating under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
Interment will be in the Lowe Cemetery.
There will be a visitation prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM.
Pallbearers are Marvin Lindley, Wayne Lindley, Alvin Lindley, Eddie Lindley, Jacob DeGunion and Kyle Lindley.
