Carol Trent Randle 88 years of age passed away on October 26, 2025 at Sherwood Nursing and rehab while in the care of Gentiva Hospice where she received wonderful care. Born Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1936 in Elaine Arkansas, to Carroll Clinton Trent and Rachel Jackson Trent.
She attended school in several towns in Arkansas, and graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1954. She graduated from Harding College in 1958 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. While attending college she met her future husband. She and Wallace were married in August 23rd 1958, and were married for 67 years.
Carol taught in both public and private schools, teaching in grades 1 through 4. She later earned a Masters Degree in Special Education from Harding University. After retiring from teaching school, she worked for Sixth and Izard Daycare.
She became involved in Scouting as a den mother and later as her sons entered scouting she served in other capacities. She was a round table commissioner for the Thunderbird District for eight years and earned the District award of Merit in 1987. She also was awarded the Silver Beaver in 1989 after attending sessions at Philmont Scout Ranch. She earned her Wood Badge beads in 1985. She worked several Mom and Me weekends.
Carol was always active in church work where she taught Bible School for young children at both Sylvan Hills church of Christ where she was in charge of the Dorcas room. Later at Levy church of Christ where she headed up Knitted Together With Love. Carol was active with the youth group at Sylvan Hills where she went on several youth missionary trips.
Carol was also visited missionaries in Leicester England and Prague Czech Republic with her husband. They also attended some Pan European Lectures. One of her favorite mission trips was serving with Partners in Progress in Phnom Pen, Cambodia. She and Wallace made 4 extended trips teaching English by reading the Bible.
She is survived by her husband Wallace Lee Randle. Her sons Otis Dee Randle and Edward Lee Randle (Cathy), her brother Jackson Irven Trent (Leona), granddaughters Casey Leigh Randle and Lindsey Nicole Poole (Jacob).
She was preceded in death by her parents Carrol Clinton Trent and Rachel Jackson Trent, her in-laws O. L. Randle and Bernice Randle, and her Sister in-law Bobbie Bobbitt (Billy).
