Carol Reed
Carol Gene Reed was born September 4, 1935 in Bald Knob, Arkansas to Buford Edward and Juanita Reed. He and his brother Glen (Peggy) and sister Ann (Joe Peacock) grew up and graduated high school in Bald Knob, following which Carol attended ASU-Beebe and then completed his education at University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
In the mid-1950s, he met the love of his life and best friend, his sweet Loretta (Sims). They married on May 26, 1956. Carol taught school for a number of years in Judsonia, where their two children Al and Marvella (Cliff Brown) were born.
After relocating to Beebe, he continued teaching before beginning his career in the heating and air business.
Those who knew Carol know he loved to tinker, building and fixing cars, houses, and everything in between.
Most of all, he loved spending time and making music with his beloved family and his throng of fortunate friends.
He departed this world on October 16, 2017 leaving behind a host of wonderful memories in addition to his loving wife, daughter, son-in-law, adopted son Jarrett, his granddaughters Michelle, Tara, Amie, Rose, Sarah (Mel) and Hannah, and grandson Jake.
