Carolyn Faye (Zachary) Hawkins, 82, passed away on May 15, 2024, in Beebe, Arkansas, after a courageous 14-month battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor. She was born to William Claude and Lois Williams Zachary in East Prairie, Missouri, on March 28, 1942. Carolyn married Paul Edward Hawkins on September 11,1962, and they were blessed to have two wonderful daughters during their 50 years together.

Carolyn led a very happy, active life filled with family, friends, and her love of quilting and gardening. Carolyn and Paul were longtime members of the Church of Christ. She was a compassionate caregiver since the age of 18 when she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She went back to school after raising her children. After graduation, she worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. The highlight of her career was her time as a home health care worker.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, her parents, her brothers, Rodger Zachary and W.C. Zachary, and a sister, Claudette Ransom.

Carolyn is survived by her loving daughters, Paula Katers (Nick), and Tracey Hawkins; her six grandchildren: J.D. Aaron (Meghan); Lynne Sizemore (Christopher); Kirsten Druckenmiller (Joshua Dunlap); Callie McBride (Dustin); Callie Katers; and Alexander Katers (Libby); and her five greatgrandchildren, Jackson, Tyler, Ethan, Everett, and Stella.
