Carolyn Jarrell

Carolyn Jarrell, age 72, of Delight, died Saturday, January 8, 2011, at her home. She was born on February 11, 1938, in Floresville, Texas, the daughter of William Quinney and Nettie Mae Roger Quinney. She was a member of the Crossroads Assembly of God Church and loved being with her family and grandkids. Survivors include her husband, Douglas Jarrell of Delight; four children and their spouses, Jesse and Emma Jarrell, Jason Jarrell and Jeff Jarrell all of Delight, and Jerri and Timmy Woodruff of Dierks; nine grandchildren, Patrick Jarrell, Ashley Jarrell, Brittany Sullivan, Justin Jarrell, Mason Woodruff, Lillie Woodruff, Lane Woodruff, Jaycee Rae Jarrell and Ethan Jarrell; three brothers, Jesse Quinney of Alice, Texas, Roy Quinney of Gurdon and Earnest Quinney of Delight; three sisters, Pearl Jones of Brownsville, Texas, Viola Martin of Tye, Texas and Adell McElroy of Brownsville, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 12, 2011, in the Delight Cemetery with Bro. Bernard Escalante officiating.
