Carolyn Sue Martin passed away and met Jesus April 25, 2024. She was born on January 11, 1945 in Des Arc, Arkansas.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin Martin and Gertrude Smith Martin. Her siblings, Frank Jr. Martin, Eugene Martin, JoAnn Stewart, Melba West, Gatha Hightower, and Ella Mae Martin.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Larry R. Martin. She has a son, Chad (Brenda) Martin, a daughter, Terri (Paul) Kassner, four grandchildren, Angela (Cory) Hallmark, Dylan Martin, Dominic (Shayna) Kassner, Zak Kassner, plus two great grandchildren, Autumn and Eli. Carolyn is additionally survived by her siblings George Martin, Dale Martin, Donna Fricker and Shirley Harness.
Carolyn retired from AT&T where she dedicated 25 years of hard work, enjoyment and loved spending time with lifelong friends.
She cherished the simple joys of life, gardening, watching birds, and finding happiness in family and friend’s company. Her unwavering presence and genuine enthusiasm made every moment special, creating a treasure trove of memories that will forever be etched in our hearts.
A true cornerstone of our family, Carolyn dedicated her life to building a foundation of love, support and unity. Her commitment to family values and the bonds that tie us together was unparalleled. She was the glue that held us during both joyous celebrations and challenging times, providing a steady hand and a compassionate heart to guide us through life's journey.
She was an exceptional person who held many titles throughout her life. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and a follower of Jesus Christ. She cherished being called “Sue” by family members, “Moma” and then “Meme” the most. Carolyn was a selfless individual who lived a life filled with compassion and love. Her family is a testament to her deep desire to help others and follow Jesus. She always encouraged others and brought a smile to their faces and was a committed member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Cabot, Arkansas. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knows her.
