Carolyn Plezia

Carolyn Fay Plezia, 80, of Alexander, passed away April 14, 2021 with her family at her side.  Born to Raymond and Mildred Green, she was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Carolyn had many interests and hobbies. She loved traveling with her husband, especially to the beach and to Maine.  She was a Master Gardener, a member of Welcome Wagon and she loved to paint. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, hosting large get-togethers for which she loved to do the cooking, and she was especially gifted at making a house a home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard “Dick” Plezia (her high school sweetheart), and brothers, Larry and Frederick Green. She is survived by her son, Richard J. Plezia (Rhonda) of Houston, Texas; daughter, Joanne Homeyer (Steve) of Alexander; sister, Phyllis Veit (Norm) of Longs, South Carolina; grandchildren, Kristen Homeyer of Phoenix, Arizona, Emilee Plezia of Houston, Elizabeth Plezia of Santa Ana, California, Eva Plezia of Houston and Ella Plezia of Alexander; great-grandson, Dominick Machado of Phoenix; and other family and friends. Carolyn, along with her gorgeous smile, will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Special thanks go to her loving caregivers, Summer, Miranda and Belinda, for all the love and support Hospice and Home Helpers gave her.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., preceded by the Rosary at 1:30, on Tuesday, June 1 at Christ the King Catholic Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carolyn’s honor to Christ the King, 4000 N. Rodney Parham, Little Rock, AR 72212.
