Carolyn Sue Welch

Carolyn Sue Welch, age 72, of Hot Springs, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023.

She was born on February 18, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Norman George Young and Mildred Caroline Heine Young. On September 11, 1970, she married the love of her life, Jan D. Welch, who preceded her in death in 2015.  She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Sue was a member of King County Baptist Church, where she also taught Sunday school for five years. She was a wonderful wife and mother, an excellent cook and crocheter. She enjoyed reading her Danielle Steel book and listening to the oldies.  Sue made friends wherever she went, she was very outgoing and just had a way of befriending people.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws, Scott and Cassidy Welch, and Eric and Stephanie Welch; two granddaughters; Madison Roberts and Lauren Welch; one great-grandchild, Kyler Roberts; extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

A private Family celebration will be held at a later date.
