Carroll Bumpass

Carroll Campbell Bumpass, 85, of Hot Springs, died July 17, 2009. He was born February 10, 1924 to Campbell and Vera Bumpass. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 59 years, Virginia and their son, Leonard. Carroll, his wife and parents operated the Bumpass Cleaners for many years. Later, he worked for Baptist Health until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Bumpass; son, Rodger Bumpass of Burbank, California and grandson, Brent Bumpass and wife, Charity of Mabelvale.
Services will be held at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock, on Monday, July 20 at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Dr. Bob Dunaway, followed by burial at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Arkansas or to a charity of one's choice.
I wish to thank Dr. Elkin and Dr. Gardner, the Arkansas Health Care Unit, all the people at St. Joseph Hospital, the Quapaw Nursing Home and the Hospice organization for the loving care they gave to Carroll Bumpass, my husband.
