Cary Alan Mundwiler, 52, of Bryant, Arkansas, passed away June 22, 2025. He was born in Decatur, IL to Larry Mundwiler and Denise Williams (John) on June 1, 1973. Cary had a huge heart, brilliant mind and an unforgettable laugh. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was always happiest on the water “wetting a line” or leaning on his boat. Cary participated in bass tournaments most of his life. He married the love of his life Debbie (Mooney) on July 19, 1996. On August 11, 1999, they welcomed their son Hayden Alan Mundwiler into the world. Cary’s greatest joy in life was Hayden.

Cary grew up in Mt. Zion Illinois and graduated from Mt. Zion High School in 1991. He graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering. He had a storied and successful career working in operations management in the manufacturing and fabrication industries.

Cary was preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Rosalie Mundwiler, and Norine Wood and Robert Frantz, his Aunt Marcia Raper, and his father-in-law David Mooney and his beloved labradors Morganne, Malori, and Sunni.

Cary is survived by his son Hayden and best friend Debbie, both of Suwanee GA., his parents Larry of Decatur IL, Mother Denise and step-dad John of Goodyear AZ, brother Cory of Oreana IL, stepbrother John Williams of Bloomington Indiana, stepbrother Brian (Julia) Williams of North Royalton, Ohio. Nephews Austin of Decatur IL., Brian of North Royalton, Ohio, and nieces Emily, Aubrey, and Alyssa of Bloomington IN.

All who knew Cary were blessed by his friendship, sense of humor, and his unwavering ability to help anyway he could. He will be missed beyond measure or any words that could be written. We are so grateful for all the wonderful memories we all share and are at peace knowing he is healed and in the arms of Jesus. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Baptist Health ICU.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
