CasSandra (Sandy) Katherine Harcrow-Bunting was born on May 1, 1952. She went to be with our Heavenly Father on May 7, 2024. She will be so happy to meet up with her mother, Ruth Marie Rainey- Harcrow, and father, Reo Paschal Harcrow, who preceded her in death. Sandy was born and raised in Warren, Arkansas. She graduated from Mills High School in Little Rock and received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with honors. Sandy furthered her education by passing the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Exam on her first sitting.
Sandy excelled in her younger days in the sports of basketball and swimming. She won numerous swimming medals. She was a strong competitor in life as well.
Sandy was a Certified Public Accountant and Partner with Thessing and Associates Ltds., Maumelle, Arkansas. She was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. In 2016, Sandy passed the training to become a Pulaski County Master Gardener. She was so proud of this designation as her mother was an avid gardener and would have been so proud of her.
Sandy leaves behind numerous family members to cherish her memory; these include the following, her children, Dawn Michelle Calvert- Joseph and Christopher Matthew Spencer, both of Little Rock; grandsons, Logan Graham Joseph and Collin Patrick Joseph of Little Rock; her long-time business partner and close friend and confidante, John Dennis Thessing; sisters, Brenda Joyce Blackwell (Mack) of Arkadelphia, Rose Sharon Hobbs of Benton; brothers Calvin Purcell Harcrow and David Keith Harcrow of Arkadelphia, and Stephan Michael Harcrow of Hot Springs; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends; along with her 2 beautiful dogs, Bella Rose and Jake whom she loved dearly. Sandy attended Second Presbyterian Church.
A memorial service will be held at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 88014 Knoedl Court, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service at 10:00 AM. Sandy will be buried at the Calvary Presbyterian Cemetery in Johnsville, Arkansas at 3:00 PM. All friends and family are asked to sign the registry at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home.
While Sandy will be greatly missed on earth, we know she will be looking down on us waiting for the time we can all be together again.
