Catherine Lucy Canham, born on January 6, 1961, in the bustling city of London, England, graced our lives with her vibrant spirit until her passing on September 19, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas. As a dedicated labor and delivery nurse at UAMS Hospital for an impressive 20 years, Catherine brought new life into the world with a compassionate touch, her laughter echoing through the hallways as she shared her genuine care and unyielding support with countless families.
With a personality characterized by her humor, love, and nurturing nature, Catherine cultivated deep connections with those fortunate enough to know her. She was not just a caregiver by profession but a beacon of warmth and kindness, illuminating every room she entered. Her love extended beyond her role; it enveloped her family and friends, creating a tapestry of cherished memories that will be forever remembered.
Her hobbies, particularly her passion for playing card games, especially bridge, were a reflection of her competitive yet playful spirit. These moments were filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of community that reflected the beautiful essence of who she was.
Catherine leaves behind her beloved children, Rachael Canham and Jonathan Canham, who carry forward her legacy of love and laughter. She is now reunited in spirit with her husband, Stephen Canham; son, Ian Canham; as well as her dear mother, Monica Stroulger; father, William Stroulger; and brother, Leslie Stroulger, each of whom she loved deeply and missed dearly.
As we gather to honor her life, a visitation will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, on September 25, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Here, we will celebrate a woman whose legacy of love will continue to echo in our hearts, profoundly reminding us of the beauty she brought into our lives. Catherine Lucy Canham will be greatly missed, for her presence was a gift, reverberating through our memories like laughter shared among friends—a testament to a life lived with love, care, and an unapologetic smile.
