Catherine Newsom, 81, of North Little Rock, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 10, 2008. She was a member of Smokey Lane Apostolic Church. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall D. Newsom.
She is survived by two sons, Toney Newsom and wife, Flo and David Newsom and wife, Sheila; daughter, Barbara Jean Casey and husband, Doug, all of North Little Rock; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlsie Keene and Evelena Deere, both of McComb, Mississippi; and a brother, Gus Edmonds, of Florida.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday at Smokey Lane Apostolic Church officiated by Rev. Royal Kidder. Entombment will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M., Tuesday at the church. Services conducted by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
