Cathey Lea Alexander

Cathey Lea Alexander, 73, went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2026. She was born June 8, 1952, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Thomas and Dora Chrissonberry.

Cathey graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1970. She spent many years working in retail and customer service. She enjoyed coloring and adding to her collection of chickens and flamingos. As long as her health allowed, she attended Levy Church of Christ. Cathey spent her later years in a nursing home where she continued to share her love of Jesus by leading group Bible studies.

Cathey was preceded in death by both her parents and her husband of 23 years, Richard Alexander, and her sister-in-law, Betty Chrissonberry.

She is survived by her daughters Marsha Chrissonberry and Meloney “Sissy” Willems; her stepsons Joe and Gene Alexander; Three grandchildren, Shelby Stokes, Zakkary Willems, and Evan Chrissonberry; Five great grandchildren, Emmarie Schneider, Terrell Stokes, Jacob Stokes, Willow Willems, and Zoe Willems; her brother Thomas Clarence Chrissonberry, Jr., her sister Phyllis Goodwin and her husband Travis, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation to be held at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home @ 7700 HWY 107, Sherwood on Wednesday 5/20/2026. Visitation to start at 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM, with service to follow.
