Cecil J. Jones, 87, of Sherwood passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008. She was a member of Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church, the past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Sherwood and employed by the Sherwood Elementary School for 25 plus years. She is currently employed by the City of Sherwood as the Librarian at the Sherwood Public Library on Sherwood Avenue.
She is survived by her son, Charles (Carolyn) Jones, of Sherwood; three granddaughters, Lisa Scheile, of Springdale, Christy Dixon, of Bradenton, Florida and Carolyn Spears, of Florida; one grandson, Dennis Spears, of Michigan; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Jones; son, William A. Jones, Jr. and two sisters, Mae Creider and Betty Dengler.
Memorials may be made to Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church Organ Fund, 9921 Sylvan Hills Hwy. Sherwood, Arkansas 72120.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday at Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M.
