Cecil Aldine Knight

Cecil Aldine Knight, 78, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away June 29, 2023. He was born April 8, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Calvin Knight and Frieda Bullock Knight. He is preceded in death by his wife Rena Marie Knight, parents, brothers James Kenneth Knight and Lawrence Paul Knight, and his sister Leslie Elaine Knight.

He is survived by his nieces, Ashley Suggs, Debbie Phillips, Becky Wilson, and Ramona Knight; his nephew Ben Brown; his great nieces and nephews; and beloved “cousins” from his wife’s side of the family.

Cecil served our country in the United States Air Force, until his honorable discharge in November of 1969. After he left the Air Force, he went to work for Kroger, where he worked until retirement. While stationed at the L.R.A.F.B. 1967-1968, he met the love of his life, Rena, cruising with a friend through Snappy’s Service. Cecil frequently said that she was the best thing that ever happened to him, and that he knew how lucky he was to have been her husband.

He was a loyal, kind hearted, and considerate man, who always tried to do the right thing. Over the years he made many friends through Kroger, and various other clubs he was associated with. He was blessed to have caring friends and neighbors, who looked out for him.

He had many varied interests and hobbies. He enjoyed researching Civil War history, pretty much anything to do with cars, a good cup of coffee, and the company of friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
