Celeste Pounders, 91, of North Little Rock passed away Saturday, September 15, 2007. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church and the Open Door Sunday school class. She was retired from the Retirement Centers of Arkansas. She was an avid reader, loved people and loved to cook for her family and friends.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Shirley and Bill Lind, of Fairfield Bay, Sue and Biff Grimes, of Sherwood and Dixie Brim, of Bella Vista; brother, C.W. Flemister and wife, Jeannette of Little Rock; sister, Frances Thornsberry, of Little Rock; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church, 201 East ?C? Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Arkansas Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
