Charlene Sharp Burton, 80 of Searcy, Arkansas, passed from this life on June 27, 2025, in Searcy. She was born May 28, 1945, to Chester and Laverne Sharp in Strawberry, Arkansas.
Charlene worked several years at White Rogers in Batesville and chased after 4 boys. Life was full of ball games, practices and a few ER visits. There were also days of searching the house for rabbits, snakes, frogs, and even a tarantula. Later in life Charlene met and married Howard Burton. She and Howard enjoyed taking trips and spending time with the grandkids.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Howard; a brother Owen; and sisters Lorene, Olene, Willene, Paulene, and Doris.
She is survived by her children Billy (Tonya) Tucker of Beebe, David Tucker of Searcy, Charlie (Kelly) Tucker of Providence, and Reggie Tucker of Ward; grandchildren Katrina (Brian) Mills, Laura (Austin) Tucker of Beebe, Lance Tucker of Beebe, Amy (Danny) Cuellar, Katy (Ethan) Hall of Providence; and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Opal Lee of Strawberry, Arkansas; sister-in-law Mary Sharp of Lynn, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2025, followed by funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe, Arkansas. Burial will be in Old Lebanon Cemetery, Lynn, Arkansas, at 3:00 p.m.
