Charlene Patty

Charlene (Howell) Patty, 90, of Ward, Arkansas passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022.  She was born February 26, 1932, in Sylvania, Arkansas to Benjamin Theron and Verna Sadler Howell.

Charlene married her husband Clyde Raymond Patty at the tender age of 16.  Together, they shared 56 years of marriage.  They enjoyed camping, fishing, water skiing and spending time with friends on the lake.  Charlene retired from Timex Corporation in Little Rock, AR after more than 40 years of service.

A friend to all that knew and loved her, Charlene was a member of Sylvania Presbyterian Church, Ward, AR.  Her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was evident in her quiet and gentle spirit.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and brothers William Joseph (Joe) and Dalton Howell.

Charlene is survived by her niece Brenda Howell Griffin and husband Norman, Ward, AR, Janice Cook and husband Don of Florida, and Mary Francis Bunker and husband Dallas, Cabot, AR; nephew Bill Howell of Michigan; and sister-in-law, Joyce Howell, Austin, AR.  She is also survived by special friend Bonnie Allison and family and a host of nieces and nephews.  

Special thanks to her caregivers Terry Collins, Debbie Powers and Amy Griffin; and Hospice caregivers Cathy and Christie.

Memorials may be made to Sylvania Presbyterian Church or Sylvania Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2022, at noon at Sylvania Presbyterian Church.  Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with burial in Sylvania Cemetery, Ward, Arkansas.
