Charles Alsobrook

Oscar Charles Alsobrook age 87, of Terrell, TX died Friday July 28, 2017 in Mesquite, TX. He was born November 23, 1929 in Slocum, TX, the son of Edwin and Ora Prater Alsobrook. He was a former president of the Farmers Branch, Texas Lions Club and a baptist. Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors, and loved cooking fried fish for all his family and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Charla Waldon. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Verna Kirksey Alsobrook; one son, Bob Britt; one sister, Billie Stanford (James); three grandsons, Alex and Robert Britt, Jr. and Jason Waldon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday August 1, 2017 at the Oak Grove Church near Alpine, AR, with Bro. Greg Kirksey officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
