Charles Cooper age 65 of Friendship died Tuesday, January 10, 2012. He was born November 7, 1946 the son of Arthur and Gertrude Smith Cooper. He was a retired long distance truck driver, a heavy equipment operator, and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Charles Anthony Cooper.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Cooper, one daughter, Stephanie Gray and her husband John and grandson, Eben Gray.
Graveside funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, January 17th in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Friendship Brother Rusty Jones officiating. The family will greet friends at their home following the service.
Memorials may be made to the Anthony Cooper Memorial Bass Tournament at Southern Bancorp
