In Loving Memory of Charles “Charlie” Cothran

Charles Andrew Cothran, age 73, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, entered into his eternal rest on May 26, 2025. “Charlie”, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was born on August 22,1951 in Little Rock to Herman and Stellan Cothran.

After graduating from Catholic High School in 1969, he attended ASU in Jonesboro. He returned to his native central Arkansas roots where he pursued a variety of career endeavors. After retirement, he relished in his new role as “Pawpaw” and spent countless hours with his three grandchildren. Charlie’s love of the outdoors was lifelong. As an avid outdoorsman, he thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing all across the state. Always a passionate sports enthusiast, he enjoyed playing baseball and adult league softball for many years. He rarely missed any opportunity to cheer on the Razorbacks. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in North Little Rock for decades where he had the honor of serving on the parish counsel.

Charlie is survived by his son, Casey (Lacey); and 3 grandchildren, Charlie, Stella and Maddie Bryce. He is also survived by his mother, Stella; his brother Greg (Debbie); his sister, Cathy and many nieces and nephews.

Please join us in honoring his memory at 11:00AM Friday June 6, at St Mary's Catholic Church 1516 Parker St North Little Rock, AR 72114 as we pray the rosary followed by Funeral Mass. A reception for all attendees will be held in the Parish Center after mass. All who knew and loved Charlie are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlie’s memory to Catholic Schools of Arkansas Scholarship Appeal or National Wild Turkey Federation.

While Charlie is deeply missed, he will be remembered for the love he showed his family and for his wit and timely sense of humor.
