Charles Evans
Charles D. Evans, age 70, of Ward went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ August 3, 2013. He is survived by his wife Nancy Evans of Ward; two sons, Scott (Karen) Evans of Ward, Greg (Mandy) Evans of Ward; five grandchildren, Christopher Brooks of Salt Lake City, Brandon, Sydney, Alayna and Ainslee; and one sister Lauretta (Jackie) Tedford of Austin.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Dennis and Lorene Evans of Austin.
He was one of the founding members of the Central Arkansas Horse Show Association; President of the Cabot Riding Club; a member of the Arkansas State Fair Board; and President of the Lonoke County Fair Association for thirteen years. He owned Evans Construction for thirty-five years; he and Nancy founded Evans Nursery in 1995. He currently served as a Justice of the Peace for Lonoke County, and was a member of Old Austin Baptist Church.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at The Chapel at Westbrook Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday, August 5, 2013 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe. With burial at Old Austin Cemetery.
