Charles Raymond Lancaster

August 21, 1933 — July 29, 2022

Little Rock

Charles Raymond Lancaster passed away peacefully in the early morning on July 29, 2022. He was born in Houlka, MS on August 21, 1933 to Pauline “Polly” Cole Lancaster and Archie Lee Lancaster. He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by Mary Jo Watkins (Bob), daughter; Suzy Balkman, granddaughter; and cousins in Mississippi and Arkansas.

Chuck was an accountant. He served in the United States Army during the Korean war. He loved to spend his free time hunting and fishing. Through his hobbies, he met many friends. Special thanks to Jerry Cavaneau, Larry Robinson, Don Keller and Sean Moorman for supporting him during his illness.

The family will be forever grateful to the staffs of Woodland Heights and Hospice Home Care for their care and concern. We truly appreciate them being there when we could not.

This prayer was found in his Bible:

"The Steppingstone Prayer"

I do not ask to walk smooth paths nor bear an easy load.

I pray for strength and fortitude to climb the rock-strewn road.

Give me such courage I can scale the hardest peaks alone,

and transform every stumbling block into a steppingstone.
