Charles David Massey, 64, of Little Rock, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012. He was born October 1, 1947 in Cord, Ark., to the late J.C. and Lois Duggar Massey. He is survived by his wife, Susan Hudgens Massey; sisters, Betty Buchel and Glenda Mosley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Willene Johnson and brother, Frank Massey.
Charles was a multi-talented creative professional who had a long career in the graphic arts industry. Starting with the print shop at Central High, his career included portrait work and several area advertising agencies until he started Massey Design in 1985. He loved his work and embraced the new technology that became part of the business. Charles developed many award-winning logos and advertising campaigns throughout the years.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 25th at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), followed by the service at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to UALR to help fund scholarships for graphic arts students.
