Charles Masterson

Charles DeVerne Masterson, born May 30, 1928 in Cedar, Iowa, passed away January 17, 2018. He graduated from Cedar High School in 1945 and attended Iowa State University. He graduated ERTI (Field of Electronics), Omaha, Nebraska. De began his career with John Morrell and Company of Ottumwa, Iowa in 1949 and completed his career with Brown Packing Company in Little Rock as the Plant Superintendent where he retired. De had a passion for golf, traveling and cars. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, William Earl Masterson and Florence Elizabeth (Randell), his brothers, Paul J., Bob and Bill, De is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Marilyn Masterson (Fritz); his sons, Kerry Charles and Kelly Todd, both of Little Rock; his favorite daughter, Elizabeth Ann Osborne and son-in-law, Keith Osborne, of Illinois; grandchildren, Dylan (Nicole), Matthew, Tiffany, Peyton, and Macy; three great-grandchildren; and his sister, Cherie Hardgrove and husband, Ron, of Springfield, Missouri.

A service will be held Saturday, January 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Little Rock, ministered by Mike Blanchard. Memorials may be made to Oak Forest Food Bank, Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation or to a charity of one's choice.
