Charles Andrew Nosal, Sr.

Charles Andrew Nosal, Sr. was born June 27, 1947, and he passed away on November 10, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and after his service, he worked as a blacksmith/boilermaker for the Union Pacific Railroad. He loved camping and going to Lake Ouachita where he had a houseboat for several years that he enjoyed with family and friends.

He began his fight with cancer in March 2020 and lost the battle on November 10, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Victoria Nosal; his brother Frank Nosal, Jr.;  his son Charles “Chuck” Nosal, Jr.; and his grandson Brody Nosal.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Peggy Nosal; his son, John Nosal (Tamsye), stepson, Collin Thompson; stepson, Brian McLester (Aundra); siblings, Thomas Nosal (Martha) and Dorothy Montague (Jim); grandchildren Caty Nosal, Elizabeth Jameson (Geno), Christopher Nosal, Cody Thompson, Chad Thompson (Amber), Bryanna McLester and Bryce McLester;  seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Carti, Springhill and St. Vincent Infirmary for their tireless efforts to help in every way.

The visitation will be at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 5:00-7:00PM. A Rosary will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 25, 2023 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CARTI, St. Vincent Infirmary or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
