Charles Everett Park age 92, of Okolona, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in Texarkana. He was born July 3, 1925 in Arkadelphia to the late Everett and Clara Hare Park. Charles was a member of Okolona United Methodist Church.
He served in the U. S. Army during World War II, was wounded and awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Charles was retired from Western Union Telegraph Co.
Survivors are his wife of sixty-eight years, Nancy Killingsworth Park; three children, Jerry Park of White Oak Lake, Arkansas, Charles Ray Park of San Diego, California and Carla Gutzler of Arkadelphia; one brother, Paul Park of Okolona; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 3:00 PM Thursday, January 25th at Weir Cemetery at Okolona with Charlie Williams officiating.
