Charles Petersen

Charles Robert "Chuck" Petersen of Little Rock, passed away at his home Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the age of 65. He was born in Illinois, the eldest son of Walter and Ellen Petersen.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Petersen, two daughters, Carrie Trivino and Charity Chain, one son, Cody Petersen, and five grandchildren, all of California; and his brother, Jeffrey Petersen of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his eldest son Christopher Petersen, his parents, and one brother, Richard Petersen.
Chuck served as the food ministry coordinator for LTCare Ministries of Little Rock. In that position he blessed thousands of the elderly, poor, and disabled in Central Arkansas by helping provide food boxes to those on fixed incomes.
His strong faith in Christ was lived out in his diligent behind-the-scenes service to the poor over the past thirteen years. He will be greatly missed.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam era, achieving the rank of Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and receiving numerous medals and commendations.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 22, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, with Jim Phillips of LTCare Ministries presiding.
