Charles Stuart Pritchett, better known as Charlie, died on August 2, 2025, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 63, surrounded by family and friends.

Charlie is survived by his beloved daughter Samantha Franks and grandchildren Destiny and Darien Franks, Arianna Williams, Keyvona Johnson; and his sister, Barbie Holladay, along with numerous friends he considered “family.”

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Patricia Pritchett; his mother, Jane Renfroe; his father, Bill Pritchett; and his brother, Danny Pritchett.

Charlie was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, but grew up in North Little Rock. In 1980, he joined the U.S. Army, where he proudly served his country as an ammunition specialist. He later transferred to the Army National Guard at Camp Robinson, where he served until his retirement.

With an infectious laugh and an abundantly kind heart, Charlie devoted himself to caring for his family. Destiny and Darien saw how their grandfather gave his all, despite his declining health, to provide a loving and nurturing home where they could thrive and pursue their goals.

Charlie was a man who loved fishing, or as he would say, “Let’s go wet a hook.” Many a bream and crappie ended up battered and fried on his dinner plate.

Loving the outdoors and nature, Charlie spent countless hours of his youth hiking the trails and enjoying the scenic overlooks of Petit Jean Mountain. His passion and appreciation for its beauty stayed with him throughout his life and often drew him back to the mountain.

A celebration of Charlie’s life will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025, with a visitation for family and friends. The funeral ceremony will start at 10:30 a.m. in the Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home chapel. Charlie’s ashes will be interred at a graveside service in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at noon.
