Charles "Sonny" Russell, 72, of Little Rock, went to meet the Lord on Friday, December 18, 2015. He was born August 1, 1943 in North Little Rock to Charles and Evelyn Russell. Sonny loved all kids, especially his grandchildren and football.
Sonny is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Russell; son, Chuck Russell; daughter, Leanne Russell; and two grandchildren, Taylor Russell and Alex Lueken. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and many life-long friends.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., before service.
