Charles Simpson

Charles L. Simpson, 89, of North Little Rock, went to his Heavenly home on Monday, January 9, 2017. He was born June 6, 1927. Charles was a co-owner of Twin City Printing in North Little Rock, a family business he operated with his two brothers, Walter and Henry. Charles served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was stationed in Okinawa. He was a devoted Sunday school teacher, deacon, husband, father and grandfather who will always be loved.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Greenwood Simpson; daughter, Jan Jefferies Singer; and three granddaughters, Kristi, Kelli Simpson and Amanda Simpson Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, Vertis Jefferies Simpson; sons, Dr. Ed (Pam) Simpson of Little Rock, David (June) Simpson, of North Little Rock, Steve (Laura) Simpson of Sherwood, and Dr. Greg Jefferies (Vicki) of San Angelo, Texas; six granddaughters, Sarah Westfall (Tom), Jami Rhoads (Justin), Marci and Caitlynn Simpson, Callie Reynolds and Kelly Singer; grandsons, Page Rochelle, James and John Jefferies; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church, 201 East "C" Ave., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116.
The visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 12, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., at Park Hill Baptist Church, North Little Rock. Arrangements by Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
