Charles Michael Smith was born on July 25, 1949 and stepped into the arms of his Heavenly Father on November 2, 2008. What an unfillable gap he leaves behind.
He was a proud member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene. He leaves behind many broken hearts: his wife of 31 years, Cheryl Smith; his son, Joshua Smith and wife, Danica of Conway; his daughter, Shannon Ramer and husband, Doug of Little Rock; grandson, Landon Ramer; his mother, Zenoba Baribeau of Little Rock; his father, E. C. Smith of Elgin, Texas; his three sisters, Cindy Peters of Little Rock, Rebecca Matthews of Austin, Texas and Vickie Fernald of Maine; his very proud father-in-law, Truman Gray; and a host of nieces and nephews.
My soulmate, my hero, my friend, how can I go on. Hour by hour, day by day, you and our Lord will take my hand, hold me up and help guide my way. I will be with you again. Until that time, you will continue to live through and in my heart.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 5 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. The funeral service will be Thursday, November 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, officiated by Rev. Rodney Shanner. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
