Cherry Anna Jean Thurman, age 90 of Sherwood, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at her home. She was born on April 7, 1922, in Coffeyville, Kansas; she was the daughter of Earl F. Wright and Bertha M. Wright.
Cherry was a devoted and beloved wife and mother. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years Willie Granville Thurman.
Survivors include her children, Mike Thurman, Sunny Thurman, and Linda Thurman of Sherwood and Jeffrey and Star Thurman of Rio Rancho, NM Grandchildren, Kathryn and Curtis Huston of Snellville, GA, Christopher and Kara Fichtner, James Thurman, and Jessica & Todd Parsons all of Albuquerque, NM. Great Grandchildren Benjamin & Rachel Schaefer; James Fichtner and Vaden Parsons of Albuquerque, NM and Brian Huston of Snellville, GA; Great-great grandchildren, Eloise and Norah Schaefer of Albuquerque, NM; several nieces and nephews and additional loved ones Fred Worfe, Jackie Thurman, Dale Fichtner and Crystal Landis.
