Cheryl "Beth" Lane, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 25, 2024. Beth, as she was affectionately known, leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Born on December 30, 1948, in Bellville, Kansas, Beth's life journey was marked by compassion and dedication to her family and community. She graduated from Benton High School and embarked on a remarkable career as a data analyst at Heifer Project, where she retired . Beth's passion for education led her to Chicago with two small children in tow, where she pursued a degree from Concordia University in Geography, Earth Science, and Art Therapy.

Beth was a woman of many talents and interests. She found joy in quilting, knitting, sewing, and cooking. Her quilting circle brought her great happiness, and she shared her expertise by teaching quilting classes at Johnston's in Benton. Beth's family was treated to the taste of traditional Swedish recipes during holidays, along with her famous Parker House rolls and peach cobbler being especially adored. Additionally, Beth found solace and enjoyment in the world of literature as an avid reader.

Family meant everything to Beth. She poured her heart into caring for her loved ones. Beth is survived by her son Nathan Richmond and wife Angela of Bauxite, Arkansas; grandchildren Ryan Richmond and wife Taylor, Nicole Richmond, Jordan Clark, and Jeremy Clark; great-grandson Drake Fox; siblings 
Jan Hurliman and husband John of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Charles Marshall and wife Paulette of Benton, Arkansas, Ben Marshall of Benton, Arkansas, Elsa Peeler of Benton, Arkansas, Kyle Marshall and wife Brenda of Roland, Arkansas, Mona Totten and husband Billy of Benton, Arkansas, Tim Marshall of Benton, Arkansas, and Lana Bragg of Benton, Arkansas; son-in-law David Clark of Benton, Arkansas; along with many nieces, nephews, family members and friends who love Beth and will miss her always.

Preceding Beth in passing are her husband Lloyd Lane; daughter, Kristin Richmond-Clark; great-grandson Emmett Richmond; and parents Lyle and Jean Marshall. 

A visitation is scheduled on Wednesday, March 27th from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM, at Zion Lutheran Church in Alexander.

Beth's dedication to her family and community will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all those whose lives she touched.
