Hot Springs

Christina "Christy" Kay Burchfield,45, of Hot Springs, Arkansas has sadly passed away on February 8, 2024.  She was born on February 28, 1978, in Benton, Arkansas.

Christy had a deep love for the outdoors. She found solace and joy in the presence of flowers, with sunflowers holding a special place in her heart. However, her greatest passion was her son Seth, whom she adored and dedicated her life to raising. Together, they embarked on many adventures, often hitting the road in her convertible Chevrolet Camaro with the top down and their favorite tunes playing on the radio.

Christy's career as a Chemo Precertification Specialist at CARTI was defined by her unwavering commitment to helping patients receive the necessary treatment to combat cancer. Her attention to detail and compassion made a significant impact on the lives of those she served.

Christy and Justin shared a close bond as partners in life. Their shared love for exploration led them to visit all 52 state parks in Arkansas, with Petit Jean Mountain holding a special significance for Christy. She was captivated by its beauty and found tranquility amidst its stunning landscapes. In addition to their adventures in nature, Christy and Justin enjoyed visiting zoos and aquariums together.

Animals held a special place in Christy's heart; she was an ardent animal lover with a soft spot for cats. Their companionship brought her immense joy and comfort throughout her life.

On February 8, 2024, surrounded by loved ones, Christy departed this world. Her passing leaves behind an immense void that will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves cherished memories that will forever remain etched in their hearts.

Christy was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Lee Burchfield.

Christy is survived by the love of her life Justin Naff of Conway, Arkansas; her adoring son Seth Ryan Burchfield of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and her mother, Ruby Hulsey, and husband Gene.

Christy's brothers, Kevin Burchfield and wife Christina of Bauxite, Arkansas; Kenneth Burchfield of Benton, Arkansas; and Andrew Weems of Benton, Arkansas, along with her sisters Tammy Payne and husband Eric of Bismark, Arkansas, and Amber Burchfield of Summersville, Kentucky will forever treasure their memories with her.

She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who were touched by her love and guidance: Stephanie Davis, Brady Martin, Katlyn Burchfield, Payton Burchfield, Gray Burchfield, Drew Ann Dobbs, Kristopher Harris, Jessica Funke, Elizabeth Burchfield, Hanna Burchfield, and Brittany Moorman. Christy's great nieces and nephews will grow up knowing how much she loved them.
