Christine Bennett

Christine Bennett, 84, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 15, 2012. She was born August 9, 1927 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Christopher and Eula Mae Lawhon Rauch. She worked for St. Vincent in Telecommunications for 42 years were she retired and was a member and church clerk of Baseline Missionary Baptist for 48 years. Christine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whom loved to cook for her family.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Bennett and wife, Pam of Little Rock and Grant Bennett and wife, Cecila of Lonsdale; grandchildren, Brandi Blaty (Erik), Brent Bennett (Dana), Brittany Bennett, Chris Bennett (Amanda), Ashlea Milburn (Michael); great-grandchildren, Braxton, Madalyn, Jackson and Ava; sister-in-law, Maxine Rauch, of Bryant; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wallace Bennett and two brothers, George and Kenneth Rauch.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Mt. Carmel Community, also to Kristi Kinchen of Saline Memorial Hospice and Christina Onecic for their loving and compassionate care.
Memorials may be made to Missionary Baptist Seminary, 5224 Stagecoach Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday at Baseline Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Landmark Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., Sunday at the church. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
