Christine Gentry

Our beloved mother went to her heavenly home on June 6, 2022.

She was preceded by her husband, Wilbur Gentry; parents, Sherman and Willie Hill; sister, Theda Roberson; brother, Gerald Hill; great grandchild, Samuel Gentry.

Remaining to celebrate her memory her four children, Pat Calhoun, Renee Gentry-Heard, Lee (Shelly) Gentry, and Lynn (Emily) Gentry; grandchildren, Sean Calhoun, Justin (Lindsey) Calhoun, Grant Heard, Megan Heard, Caroline (Eric) Gentry, Mary Gentry, Nathan (Elly) Gentry, Hannah Gentry, Jonathan (Bri) Gentry, Abigail Gentry, and Lydia Gentry; great grandchildren, Spencer, Sydney, Heidi, Zoe, Frank Calhoun and Elias, Jordan, Ruth Gentry; brother, Harold (Betty) Hill, and a full bucket of nieces and nephews.

Christine’s life was dedicated to her family, church, and community. She was a member of Oak Forest Methodist UMC since 1947 and served the church in many capacities. She was involved in military life and many non-profit organizations throughout her life. Donations welcome in her Memory to Oak Forest Food Bank 

A celebration of her life will be on Saturday June 11, 2022 at Oak Forest United Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors at 10:00 am, service to follow at 11:00 am.
