Christine Anne Hughes, 71, passed peacefully on May 14, 2024. She was born on December 29, 1952, in Northwich, England to Bert and Rose Anne Doughty. 

She worked as a Registered Nurse for Baptist Health.  Christine enjoyed traveling, listening to Van Morrison and going to concerts, gardening and watching English football and supporting Manchester City whenever she could.  Above all, Christine loved being a “Nana” and her granddaughters were her world.

Christine is survived by her son, Gareth Hughes (Cristie); her granddaughters, Stella and Annabelle Hughes; her brother, Jim Doughty; her brother-in-law, Derek Hughes; her sister-in- law, Janet Hughes; and her nephew, Joseph Hughes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Selwyn Hughes; her parents; her brother, John Doughty; her mother-in-law, Kate Hughes; and her father-in-law, William Hughes.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024, at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Saint Edward Catholic Church, 801 Sherman Street, Little Rock.
