Christopher Alan Berry

July 4, 1983 — May 15, 2024

Mabelvale

Christopher Alan Berry 40, of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed away May 15, 2024.  He was born July 4, 1983 in Arlington, Texas.  His birthday was on the perfect date as he was just like fireworks and reveled in the fact that everyone he knew celebrated "his" birthday!

Music was Chris' world.  He was so talented and often wrote songs and could play just about any instrument he picked up.  Chris played the guitar and was a member of two bands, Blood Letting Device and DeShOvElEd and at several local venues.  Chris could tear anything up by his constant drumming on virtually anything-from pots and pans to table tops.  Chris also was gifted in art work, and he created some beautiful masterpieces.  Family meant everything to Chris.  He was his brother's best friend, and they enjoyed spending time together.  Chris had a great personality, was so funny, and was always the life of the party.  Football was another passion.  Chris enjoyed watching games and was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Mae (Daugherty) Berry.

He leaves behind his son, Zane Berry of Conway, Arkansas; father, Charles Berry and his wife Melissa of Mabelvale, Arkansas; brother, Joey Berry and his wife Angie of Benton, Arkansas; nieces and nephews:  Riley, Kailey, and Jace Berry and Isaac and Liam VanDevender; step-daughter, Shayley; special friends, Mike and Rita Watson, who were like second parents to him; and many family members and friends who love Chris and will miss him always.

Memorial service, officiated by Pastor Jim Whitley, will be held Tuesday, May 21, at 4:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
