Clara Mae Brunt

Clara Mae Brunt, age 87, of Norman, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

She was born on May 15, 1938, in Black Springs. Clara was the daughter of M.L. Pearson and Zadia Warren Pearson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Brunt; her two brothers, Othel Pearson and Olen Pearson; and her two sisters, Ova Brewer and Ovada Yeargan.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Elvin) Cannady; her two grandchildren, Christine (Ryan) Herrell and Bobby Garton; her four great grandchildren, Lily Garton, Audrey Herrell, Dean Herrell, and Scarlett Garton; her sister and brother-in-law, Evonne and Gary Duke; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Clara loved watching and feeding her red bird out on the farm and showing everyone her beautiful flower gardens. Clara was a great cook. Her Thanksgiving dinners will be missed most of all. Clara is now in heaven with the Lord and dancing with the angels. 

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Black Springs Cemetery.
