Clara Davenport

Clara Mae Morton Davenport, age 98, died on October 6, 2012. Born in Heber Springs, Arkansas on April 17, 1914. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Edward (Eddie) Davenport of Little Rock. Clara has gone to be with Christ. Clara Mae loved everyone and never said a bad thing about anyone. She was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church for 71 years and worked for North Little Rock Health Department for over 20 years.
She is survived by three children, Edna Davenport Welch and husband Sam Welch of Sherwood, Lee Davenport Anderson and husband Randall George Anderson of Russellville and David Davenport of North Little Rock; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at North Little Rock Funeral Home on October 11, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A graveside service will be led by Alva Fisher at Pinecrest Memorial Garden, 7401 Highway 5 N. Alexander, AR on October 12, 2012 at 1:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Arkansas Hospice Foundation, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR 72116.
