Clara Mae Ibbotson, 89, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away on August 30, 2026. She was born May 5, 1937, in Lonoke, Arkansas, to William and Mollie Bryant. Clara worked for the State of Arkansas with the Department of Finance and Administration. Throughout her life, she found her greatest joy in her family.
She loved spending time with those she held dear and especially treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clara also enjoyed gardening and was an avid sports fan. She proudly cheered for the Arkansas Razorbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Los Angeles Rams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earcle Ibbotson; her parents, William and Mollie Bryant; siblings, Cecil, Gladys, Lois, Sara, Jewell, and Willo Dean.
Clara is survived by her sons, Steve Ibbotson and Kerry Ibbotson and his wife, Michelle; her brother, Horace Bryant; her grandchildren, Dewaine Ibbotson and his wife, Laura, Amy Boone and her husband, Tim, Haley Kitterman and her husband, Solomon, and Brittain Ibbotson; five great-grandchildren; her niece, Lois Rutledge; along with chosen family, the Bradleys; and many other extended family members and friends.
Clara will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the many memories she leaves with those who knew and loved her.
