Clara Lou Toombs age 97, of Arkadelphia, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Arkadelphia. She was born January 22, 1919 to Harry and Maggie Hill Helms. Clara was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church (Cross View) in Texarkana, Texas. She loved to play the piano and sing.
 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Tombs; her siblings, Nettie Brewer, Lois Brewer, Rubena Freeman, Edna Freeman, Edgar Helms, Zula Melugin, Ross Helms, Louise Bullard, Inez Starkey and William Helms.
 
Survivors are several nieces and nephews whom she cherished and adored.
 
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday, January 19th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
 
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, January 20th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery.
 
Memorials may be made to Richland Cemetery Fund % Mary Sue Thomas 973 Central Rd. Arkadelphia, AR. 71923.
