Clarence Wallace Sossamon, age 78 of Arkadelphia died Wednesday, June 07, 2006. He was born March 29, 1928 in Hearn, AR the son of the late Grover Cleveland and Ida Mae Hopper Sossamon. He was a retired truck driver for Alumcraft Boat Co. and a Presbyterian. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Lee Pierce Sossamon.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Lynn Spears of Upper Black Eddy, PA and Dennis Spears of Kentucky; two daughters, Brenda Jordan of Spring, TX and Tammy Jo Wright of Allen, TX; one brother, James Sossamon of Camden; two sisters, Frances Bear of Benton and Blanche Martin of Arkadelphia; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be in10:00 AM Saturday, June 10, 2006 Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with Rev. Rusty Jones. Interment will be in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
