Clarine (Thomason) Tuttle

Clarine (Thomason) Tuttle, an 81 year old cherished member of the Alpine community, quietly slipped away from this Earth, into the arms of Jesus, on February 5th, 2024, at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born on October 9th, 1942, to Cassie Fern (Garner) and Charlie Thomason.

Clarine was preceded in death by her parents, Fern and Charlie, her stepfather, Tommy Roberts, her sister, Edith Thomason, and her son, Michael Scott Tuttle. She is survived by two grandsons, Christopher Tuttle and Dustin Cameron, her brother, Alfred Thomason, her brother-in-law, Billy Thomason, and nieces she loved like daughters: Teresa (Gaylen) Porter, Linda (George) Hampton, Loretta Woodall, and Amanda (Stan) Bean. She also leaves behind several great-nieces and nephews, and several great-great-nieces and nephews, including her shared namesake, Edith-Claire Canada.

Clarine possessed a servant's heart, and she was always faithful in caring for her family and friends. She loved to cook and bake their favorite dishes, share pieces of her beloved plants, gift them bibles and hold them up in prayer. She never let the opportunity slip by to say, “I love you.” Her ease in frequent conversation, even with total strangers, made her well-known. Her contagious sense of joy, sweet and simple charismatic demeanor won the trust and hearts of many. Her witness of nurturing love and faith has impacted many. Ms. Tuttle had a real zest for life and she loved to do a little praise dance when sharing what God had done for her. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, listening to gospel music and being treated to ice cream.
