Cledith Marshall

Cledith Marshall, 91, of North Little Rock went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, February 19, 2018. Mrs. Marshall was born March 3, 1926 in Pangburn, Arkansas to Rufus and Beulah Stephens Roberson.
Cledith gave her life to Christ as a young girl and spent time praying in her father's horse stable. This would be the beginning of her devotion to Christ and the legacy she would leave to four generations. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Harley Marshall, of 34 years. Cledith loved her three children with a sacrificial love. She always made sure that her children knew that God was the very center of their home. As a young family, they attended Levy Baptist Church, where she taught the twelve year old girls' Sunday school class for many years. She enjoyed hosting others and received such joy from her extended family gathering around the table for a home cooked meal. She loved deeply and found joy in most all circumstances. She joined Park Hill Baptist Church and loved the time spent with friends in her Sunday School Class. Even when she was facing difficult circumstances she chose happiness because she knew that her joy was in the Lord. On this earth she was a Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and friend, but the title she was most proud of was Child of the One True God.
She is survived by her children, Shirley Elmore, Debbie Byrd (Jim), Mike Marshall (Ginger); grandchildren, Mark Elmore (Melissa), Paul Elmore, Carmen Lane (Brian), Kelly Reddin (Matt), Andy Marshall and David Marshall; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Betty Sue Marshall; parents; and a brother.
Memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2018, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
