Clifford C. Brewer, age 79, of Kirby, died Thursday, July 19, 2012. He was born on March 2, 1933, in Bennington, Oklahoma, the son of Walter Edward Brewer and Sally Plyler Brewer. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bill Brewer and Harold Brewer; his sister, Bernice Babbitt; and one step-granddaughter, Tiffini Michelle Golden. He was retired from the Arkansas Highway Department and a member of the Caney Valley Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Inell Brewer of Kirby; four step-children, David Golden of Hampshire, Tennessee, Steve Golden of Williamsport, Tennessee, Kevin Golden of Centerville, Tennessee and Lorrie Ledbetter of Caddo Gap; eleven step-grandchildren, Jessica Ledbetter, Haleigh Ledbetter, Abigail Golden, Sydney Golden, Baylee Golden, Cole Golden, Chance Golden, Cody Golden, Hunter Golden, Tabin Golden and Heith Shirey; two step-great-grandchildren, Braxton Drye and Matthew Drye; and one brother, Walter Lee Brewer of Lakeland, Florida. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 23, 2012, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Bobby Golden officiating. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Joe Johnson, Ray Daniel, Jeremy Brewer, Don Babbitt, Dean Cogburn and Chris Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Chance Golden, Ray Johnson and the nurses and staff of Dierksen Hospice and Heritage Nursing and Rehab. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
